House rules

Welcome to my blog! This blog has a few rules:

• Respect people; criticise ideas
• Stay on topic: No spam

This blog is a civilised place. Responses, criticisms and discussions are polite and respectful of people regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation or disabilities. You can say what you like about ideas, though, but please, no coarse language and profanity.

Please try to stay basically on-topic and discuss the content, ideas and form of the blog post. Interesting departures into the worlds of computers, IT, philosophy, science, maths, medicine, language and similar are fine (I love these topics), but hawking products or services, spam, etc, will not be tolerated. This blog is not a political, legal or religious forum.

I reserve the right to delete comments that violate these rules (or the spirit of the rules) and ultimately to ban violators.

If you have a concern about any posting or comment being factually incorrect or contravenes laws, regulations or similar, please contact me, for example by my email. Please provide the following:

• Who you are
• How I can contact you 
• What your interest is, and 
• What your concern is. 

If something has been written that is factually incorrect or is in contravention of the law in an applicable jurisdiction, it will be addressed. Anonymous complaints will be ignored.
